Manavgat, Aspendos, Side - local trip from Alanya

If you are looking for a trip that combines nature and history that is not distant and child-friendly, then it's the trip to Aspendos Theater, the City of Side and the Kursunlu Waterfall Park. We call this a 3 in 1 trip, because in one day you visit three different places, each with its own history. We will visit different places in different order.

Side

Situated on a peninsula about 1 kilometer long and 400 meters across, the site contains the ruins of a Roman amphitheater, columned road, and agora.

Aspendos

Aspendos Theatre was an ancient city in Pamphylia, Asia Minor, located about 40 km east of the modern city of Antalya, Turkey. It was situated on the Eurymedon River about 16 km inland from the Mediterranean Sea; it shared a border with, and was hostile to, Side. According to later tradition, the (originally non-Greek) city was founded around 1000 BC by Greeks who may have come from Argos. The wide range of its coinage throughout the ancient world indicates that, in the 5th century BC, Aspendos had become the most important city in Pamphylia.

Kursunlu

There are over 100 bird species living by this natural wonder. The hidden cave at the back of the waterfall is a popular place for visiting. The waterfall is on one of the tributaries of the Aksu River and its situation in the midst of a pine forest is of quite exceptional beauty.

Manavgat 

A big city which is famous for its powerful mosque, topped up 4 towers. It's a great opportunity to enter the inside of the guide and learn many interesting facts about the ritual and prayer Muslims. Nearby is the famous waterfall on the Manavgat river in a nicely landscaped park, where you can even pobrodzić in the waters of the waterfall.
