Welcome to The Antonina and Jan Żabiński City Zoological Garden in Warsaw - a green island in the heart of the city, where more than 8,500 animals representing about 500 species await you and your loved ones in the park's 40 hectares. Strolling through the picturesque alleys, you can admire the diversity of flora and fauna from all over the world, providing a great opportunity for relaxation and education for the whole family.

The Warsaw ZOO is open Daily, all year round, including Sundays and all holidays.

Commuting to the ZOO

Tram:

- Praga Park - stop at Solidarności Avenue next to the historic (now defunct) brown bear enclosure, from here walk to the entrance from ul. Ratuszowa along the wide avenue of the park,

- Ratuszowa ZOO - stop located directly at the entrance to the ZOO from Jagiellońska Street, at the level of Brecht Street. Visitors entering the Zoo from this side will start their tour from the Great Apes Pavilion.

Train:

- Warsaw ZOO - from here it's just a few steps to the gate from the Gdanski Bridge at Wybrzeze Helskie/ Starzyńskiego street,

- Warsaw Vilnius - just walk through the Praski Park or take the streetcar to the Praski Park stop (from here the closest to the entrance from ul. Ratuszowa) or Ratuszowa ZOO (from here it's the closest to the entrance from Jagiellonska Street),

- East Warsaw and Warsaw Stadium - convenient streetcar access to the Praski Park or Ratuszowa ZOO stop.

On the grounds of the ZOO is the Zabinski Villa. It was here during World War II that director Dr. Jan Żabiński and his wife Antonina rescued more than 300 refugees from the Warsaw Ghetto. Tours of the Villa are available for an additional fee and by reservation.
