For architecture enthusiasts who appreciate the majesty of the castle complex from the outside, we have prepared a Walking Tour that takes you through the castle’s outdoor grounds. During this 90-minute tour, we’ll stroll along the castle terraces, visit the burial chapel, admire the gardens and moats, and experience Gothic architecture at its finest. We especially recommend this tour during the spring and summer seasons.

The tour includes: the Outer Bailey, the gateways, the courtyards of the Middle and Upper Castles, St. Anne’s Chapel, the terraces along with the Grand Masters’ Garden, the moats, and the inner walls.

The tour does not include visits to the chambers or exhibitions.

With the audio guide option, you decide the pace of the tour, when to take breaks, and how much time to spend on the castle grounds. The tour is conducted individually

Getting There

Traveling by Car

Malbork is located at the intersection of Routes 22 and 55. Getting there by car is easy. The trip from Katowice takes about 5 hours, and from Warsaw—about 4 hours. The drive from Gdańsk to Malbork takes about 50 minutes.

Travel by Public Transportation

Even those without a car will have no trouble getting there. The city has a train station, and PKS buses also stop there. You can travel directly from many cities (including Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warsaw, Kraków, and Rzeszów) without any transfers.

Malbork Castle stands in an exceptionally picturesque setting on the banks of the Nogat River.

The Castle Museum does not have its own parking lots for visitors, but there are parking lots and numerous restaurants located near the castle complex.
